Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP) runs from October 15th to December 7th
Eligible individuals can:
Enroll in Medicare Advantage
Switch Medicare Advantage plans
Switch Medicare Part D plans
Disenroll from Medicare Advantage and return to Original Medicare
Changes made during this time will take effect on January 1st.

The health insurance open enrollment period runs from November 1st to December 15th.
You can enroll in a new plan for coverage beginning on January 1st or review and change your current coverage to a different plan that will begin January 1st.
If you don’t enroll in a plan by December 15th, you cannot get coverage unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
